East Jakarta Mayor, Muhammad Anwar distributed staple food packages to 180 beneficiaries consisting of recitation teachers, religious leaders, mosque caretakers at Kramat Jati Sub-district Office.

According to him, this assistance is one of East Jakarta Government's efforts to help residents affected by COVID-19, especially those who haven't received social assistance.

Kramat Jati Sub-district Head, Eka Darmawan conveyed, the beneficiaries are from seven urban villages in the regions. Those are Kramat Jati, Cawang, Cililitan, Tengah, Dukuh, Balekambang, and Batu Ampar. This assistance, he continued, was donated by civil apparatuses (ASN) in Kramat Jati Sub-district.
"This fundraising activity is carried out to support PSBB policy," he added.
One of the beneficiaries, Achmad Madun expressed his gratitude for the assistance because it really useful for him since COVID-19 pandemic really affects his life. He suggested residents to follow government's instructions by always wearing mask, especially when doing activities outdoor, often washing hands, and praying from home.
"Alhamdulillah, we are very grateful to get this assistance. Surely it is very useful for us," he mentioned.
